There he is, keeping guard whilst his mate takes a lunch time pee in to a shop doorway. He's doing his best to look intimidating and is trying to work out how much of a threat I am with my camera. Actually, I was attracted to the scene by the strong contrasting sun light pouring across the street, but now it is a game of chicken. A furtive and flustered look; a snatched movement and a whiff of guilt, and I know he'll see it as a signal to threaten me. So I slow down, make my movements more deliberate and take my shots. Now he's even more more unsure what to do, but then a woman strides down the street talking loudly in to her phone, confusing him further. In a second the threat has passed and I've moved on. It's only later to do I see the "Sprinkler Stop Valve Inside Sign".
Till soon....
